Boys Varsity Basketball, Girls Varsity Basketball · Basketball Teams Are Starting Strong

The Lady Titans started their season 3-0 with a chance to go to 4-0 vs. Central Gwinnett on Thursday 11/21.  They have been led by senior guards Akaya Chaney and Keyara Wooden.  Strong defensive efforts from other senior players have led to their school record start.  They won a hard fought game vs. Jonesboro 45-36,  won handily vs. Meadowcreek 49-21 and fought back from down 17 vs. Shiloh to win 51-46 on the road.

The men’s team has started 2-2 with a solid win vs. Jonesboro and a big win over the State Championship Runner-ups from Meadowcreek at their place.  They ran out of gas on Saturday vs. a top-10 Lambert team after having been up a basket with a few minutes left and dropped a back and forth game with Shiloh this week.  Ian Davis scored a career high 27 points in the loss to Shiloh.

Both teams look forward to playing Central Gwinnett on Thursday and then play in  a few Thanksgiving Break games before starting Region Play back in our house on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd.
